STEVE

Steve Campbell - Lead Pastor

Steve is deeply passionate about people, community engagement, and sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Since January 2014, he has served as the Lead Pastor at DBBC, working closely with the leadership team to actively fulfil the mission of reaching the people of East Kamloops with the Gospel. Before his time at DBBC, Steve held various roles at Burnett Fellowship in Maple Ridge, including Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, and ultimately Lead Pastor. With 43 years of marriage to his wife, Neva, Steve is also the proud father of three children and grandfather to five grandchildren.

Emmett

Emmett Hogendoorn - Family Ministries Pastor

Emmett is passionate about kids and youth ministry, with a heart for sharing the message of Jesus. Currently an Immerse student, Emmett is deepening his knowledge and ministry skills while pursuing further growth. He previously attended Briercrest Bible College, where he laid the foundation for his ministry journey. Emmett spent a year working at Willingdon Church, gaining valuable experience and insight in serving others. He has been married to his wife, Anita, for four years, and they have a toddler. Over the past 1.5 years, Emmett has been deeply committed to nurturing the faith of our next generation at DBBC, helping them encounter and experience the transformative love of Christ. He hopes to continue this work guiding and supporting the spiritual growth of young hearts for years to come.

Our Leadership Team Members, serving alongside Steve and Emmett, are dedicated to guiding the church through their spiritual gifts, time, and energy. They play a crucial role in establishing the church's vision and direction, offering prayer and pastoral care for the congregation, and providing overall spiritual support. In addition, they actively volunteer to lead and facilitate DBBC’s various ministries, ensuring the practical needs of the church are met while fostering spiritual growth and community.
